Really enjoyed this story Ash. Ironically I have been through something similar. When I lived in the UK there was tremendous tension between my ex (my sons mother) and my new partner. It was truly awful. My own move to Australia (also Brisbane) felt like a parole from prison. It wasn't a panacea to all ills but it was a fresh start and a new chapter.
